Dr. Robert Matiasevich Jr, DDS
Dr. Matiasevich teaches other doctors inside and outside his practice. He completes several hundred hours of continuing education each year. He utilizes his extensive training and experience to treat even the most challenging dental situations. He has been delivering cosmetic, implant, and functional solutions to patients for over 17 years. His commitment to “doing it right” and ability to “handle just about anything” has won him the admiration of patients and other doctors. A big bonus is that Dr. Matiasevich uses his expertise to prevent big problems from ever happening.
Dr. Matiasevich graduated with high honors from the University of Southern California and completed an advanced certification in Craniofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Joint Studies in San Diego.
He has been helping patients so they can enjoy eating and smiling again with dental implants since 2000. He has developed special methods of implant dentistry to “rescue” the denture patient and those with debilitated teeth needing complete reconstructions. He has also developed special techniques in sedation dentistry for the fearful patient. All treatment is performed in the same office. This combined with advanced techniques allow even the most compromised individual to return to a life of enjoying dental health.
He is a Member of International Congress of Oral Implantologists, one of the highest international organizations for skill in the surgery and restoration of dental implants. This is the most life-changing treatment that dentistry offers. Dr. Matiasevich is your central coast expert in dental implant treatment. In addition, he is a Fellow and Graduate of the prestigious California Implant Institute.
Dr. Matiasevich is a leader in pursing advanced post-doctoral education in his field from the best by traveling all over the world and training with the best clinicians. He teaches other dentists in the art and science of dental implants and implant cosmetics so that his methods can help other residents outside of his own practice. The practice is recognized for environmentally responsible dentistry with the highest ratings and awards possible. More colleagues than any other Santa Cruz doctor with a practice that has a similar focus endorse him.
Personal
As a second-generation dentist, Dr. Matiasevich was raised in Santa Cruz. He did his undergraduate work in economics at the University of California Irvine and attended the University of Southern California for his dental degree. Later he returned home in 1997 to work along side his father.
He and his wife Nadia (an avid tennis player) have three children. They are very active in their children’s school activities and athletic events, in addition to coaching his son’s Pop Warner football, basketball and baseball teams. Dr. Bob is a life-long snow and water skier.
